Today i will not give you any long suggestions about blogging.
I just want to wish you happy new yearMay all of you get success in blogging. happy earning...

what are backlinks?

I searched for best definition of backlinks on web. A perfect definition in my opinion is as follows:
"A back link is an inward link to your site that may or may not be reciprocated with an outward link back. If page A links to page B then a back link would be a link which goes from page B back to page A".

For example, I find an interesting article on web and I want the article to be displayed on my blog hence I link the article to my blog. Now my blog acts as a back link to that article or to the URL where the article is originally located.
backlinks

you can check your blog backlinks with Back link Checker tool. Back link Checker tool enables you to know the number of blogs and websites who have given a link to your website or webpage or blog. Backlinks acts as one of the key factors in determining the ranking of your website or blog. It helps you to have a track of the other websites on the web that link to your blog.

You can import posts and comments from a previously exported Blogger blog, export this blog, or permanently delete it.

Then i clicked on delete blog . After that a new page opened and there was two options. 1. delete this blog 2. cancel

Direct integration between Amazon Associates and Blogger

I just heard about the collaboration of blogger and Amazon associates. This new collaboration enables Bloggers to monetize their content by adding relevant Amazon products to their blog posts. You can do it without interrupting the blog editing process. Amazon Associates for Blogger is available now at http://affiliate-program.amazon.com/blogger. This was good news for bloggers but still i have another great news for Amazon Associates. Amazon Associates who don’t have a Google Blogger account can set up a free Blogger account with their Associates ID and start earning right away. isn't it exciting?

Many of you must had the question in your mind now that how does it work? Here its answer is.

The Amazon Associates allows Bloggers to add links and images to their blog posts in just 2 easy steps:

1.Bloggers highlight the relevant text and the Amazon Product Finder will search Amazon’s millions of products and recommend the ones that are most closely associated with the text

2.Bloggers can then insert a link or image to that product which includes their Associates ID, enabling them to earn up to 15% in referral fees from Amazon

The surprise didnt get end yet. More about it is that Bloggers will also be able to show dynamic content in their blog sidebar using a new set of integrated Sidebar gadgets, such as gadgets for MP3 clips from the Amazon DRM-free music store, an Amazon Deals gadget, and an Amazon Search box.

Also as part of this new integration, Bloggers who don’t have a free Amazon Associates account can create one directly within Blogger so tell your friends that use Blogger how they can start earning with Amazon Associates today and get rich :). Amazon Associates lets you earn money by advertising products on your blog rite away.

When your readers click a link that includes your Associates ID and make a qualifying purchase on Amazon.com or Endless.com, you'll earn up to 15% in referral fees.Easily search and add relevant Amazon links and product images to your blog posts. Add rich, interactive gadgets like the MP3 Clips gadget to your blog sidebar.
Make money whenever someone clicks on your links and buys from Amazon. so what you are waiting for?? hurry up... be part of it.

How can I add Google ads to my feeds?

How can I add Google ads to my feeds?

If you've used feeds in the past, choose one from your list of active feeds that don't already have a feed unit.
If this is your first time setting up feeds with AdSense or FeedBurner, you'll need to burn a new feed first. Click the burn a new feed link, then enter your blog or feed URL. Some platforms may present you with a choice of feeds to use as the source; usually picking the Atom feed will work. After providing this information you'll be given a new URL for your feed which you should promote or redirect to in order to make sure all subscribers are seeing your enhanced feed.

8. click on Save tab.
Now your Google-powered feed is ready, which will start displaying ads very soon. I hope you people are satisfied with this article.
happy earning...

What does it mean to "burn" a feed?

Hi guys...

I hope you would be enjoying blogging. and i also hope that you guys also do feed work. when i first started all this i thought burn a feed mean that to delete feed which is totaly opposite to its real meaning. i m sure you would be laughing now. anyhow now when i came to know what does it really mean then i want to share it with you people.

Burn a feed

Burn a feed
Burn a feed means that your feed gets passed through Google with a new URL. When you use the URL for your Google-powered feed, your users will see your content along with the Google ads that you've added. Google will automatically check for updates in your feed every 30 minutes, so your content will always be fresh and you dont have to do it manually.

Your original feed will still exist, and you can direct users to it, but it won't have Google ads. So make sure to direct traffic to your burned feed that is powered by Google -- the one that starts with http://feeds2.feedburner.com.

happy earning guys...

How to publish my own feeds?

To publish feeds is not difficult at all. If you have a website, blog, audio/video content, or even photos, you can offer a feed of your content as an option.

For this, you have to sign up for popular blogging plateforms. If you are using a popular blogging platform or publishing tool like TypePad, Wordpress, or Blogger, you likely publish a feed automatically. Even other non-blogging sites like social photo-sharing service Flickr offer feeds of content you produce that others can retrieve. There are also tools on the market that can help transform traditional web content into the right format for distribution on web.

How to publish my own feeds?

FeedBurner's services allow publishers who already have a feed to improve their understanding of and relationship with their audience. Once you have a working feed, run it through FeedBurner and realize a whole new set of benefits.

how i would be able to recieve payments from adsense?

Many of bloggers dont know the procedure to be paid from adsense. Google adsense explains it throughly in google adsense help. But problem is that many of bloggers dont use exact keywords to get desired answer from google adsense. So dont worry now. I am explaining it in this post.

The most important thing is to confirm the accuracy of your payment address and payee name. Checks and Western Union payments are made out to the payee name and payment address exactly as entered in your account.

Always keep in mind that you must provide exact payment address and payee name. If you need to correct any information, follow these instructions.

How to provide your tax information?
Google adsense may be required to collect tax-related information from you depending on your location. If you're required to provide tax information, you can do so on the Tax Information page, under the My Account tab. Google adsense interface will guide you to the appropriate forms and requirements for your particular situation. Go to your Tax Information page now and select your payment method here. Depending on your payment address, there may be a number of payment options available to you, including checks, Electronic Funds Transfer, and Western Union Quick Cash. The easiest way to find out your payment options is to visit your Account Settings page and click the Payment Information [edit] link. Choose your payment method now.

How to enter your PIN and phone verification number?
When your earnings reach the verification threshold, Google adsense will mail a Personal Identification Number to the payment address which you specified in your account. You'll need to enter this PIN into your account before Google adsense can send any payments to you. Your PIN will be sent by standard post and will take 2-3 weeks to arrive. So dont worry if you dont get it soon. Depending on your location, you may also be asked to verify your phone number. As part of this process, Google adsense system will call you at a pre-arranged time, and you'll be required to dial in a verification number that appears in your AdSense account.
payments from adsense

Reach the payment threshold in earnings

When your total unpaid earnings reach the payment threshold, Google adsense will send you a payment at the end of the next month. This threshold varies depending on the reporting currency in your account.

For example, that the payment threshold for your account is US$100. In this case, if your total unpaid earnings reached $100 during January and you completed the 4 steps above, Google adsense would send you a payment at the end of February. If your total unpaid earnings haven't yet reached the payment threshold, they'll roll over to the next month and accrue until they meet the threshold.

Payments are sent within approximately 30 days of the end of the month. See the timeline of Google adsense payment cycle in the Payment Timelines section in Google adsense help.

What is Reach?

Many of bloggers dont know about reach. when i started blogging, i also got confuse with this term reach. Now i m well familiar of reach. Reach is the total number of people who have taken action on the content in your feed. peach can be viewed or clicked action on the content in your feed.

Now question is that What does it tell us?

Subscribers is a measure of how many people are subscribed to your feed. At any given time, you can expect that a certain percentage of this subscriber base is actively engaging with your content and this “Reach” measurement provides this additional insight.

One more thing, there may be people viewing your content beyond your known subscriber base. For example, they may view your content on a feed search engine or news filter site.

Reach aggregates both of these groups, providing an accurate and useful measurement of your true audience.

How is reach reported within FeedBurner?
reach look like this:

How Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 display FeedBurner feeds?

Popular browsers incorporated a new approach to displaying feeds with the introduction of Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) and Firefox 2.0 . Like FeedBurner's BrowserFriendly service, IE7 and Firefox present feeds as a webpage, with a listing of their content.

IE7 offers options to subscribe to the feed using the browser's built-in feed reader.
Firefox 2 offers several user-selected options for subscribing to feeds in various readers.

These browsers' own display styling currently overrides any other feed styling options that might be applied to the feed, including FeedBurner's own BrowserFriendly.
How Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 display FeedBurner feeds?

How Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 display FeedBurner feeds?

How Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 display FeedBurner feeds?

FeedBurner's BrowserFriendly service provides publishers with an option to format feeds with a stylesheet and publisher-selected subscription buttons, or "chicklets," for various services. A feed that has BrowserFriendly's "Landing page renders as a webpage in all browsers" option checked will only display in Firefox 2 or IE7 with the FeedBurner-provided stylesheet if the feed is clicked on as a link on a live webpage. Typing the feed address directly in the browser bar or opening a feed linked in an email message, for example, will revert to the IE7/Firefox default stylesheet. Firefox, in particular, seems to cache feed stylesheets fairly aggressively, so you may not see the BrowserFriendly version of a feed even if you click to it from a link if you have already visited the feed previously.

What is a Favicon?

Favicon is drived from "favorites icon".Favicon is a small graphic you can associate with your website for display in browsers like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, Safari, iCab, and AOL Explorer. This Favicon appears in several places: in the browser's Location field, next to the site's name in a bookmarks list, with the site's title in a tab (if the browser uses tabs), and next to the site's feed as shown in many feed readers. Favicon can increase your revenue.

What Does PageRank Measure in a site?

PageRank measure's a web page's importance on the internet. Page and Brin are the founders of page rank. Page and Brin's theory is that the most important pages on the Internet are the pages with the most links leading to them. PageRank thinks of links as votes, where a page linking to another page is casting a vote. because people do tend to link to relevant content, and pages with more links to them are usually better resources than pages that nobody links. It also looks at the importance of the page that contains the link. Pages with higher PageRank have more weight in "voting" with their links than pages with lower PageRank. It also looks at the number of links on the page casting the "vote." Pages with more links have less weight. Pages that are important are probably better authorities in leading web surfers to better sources, and pages that have more links are likely to be less discriminating on where they're linking. and page rank directly interacts with the revenue of that specific site's ads.

page rank - explanation

Many of new bloggers dont know what is page rank? PageRank is what Google uses to determine the importance of a web page.
PageRank was developed by Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin at Stanford. At the time that Page and Brin met, search engines typically linked to pages that had the highest keyword density, which meant people could game the system by repeating the same phrase over and over to attract higher search page results. PageRank is patented by Stanford.likely Larry Page named it as page rank.

•Sign in to an existing account.
•Create a new account.
•View your blog as a guest (no account required).
In the first two cases, the reader will be given permission to view your blog whenever they are logged in to their Google Account. As a guest, they'll be able to continue viewing your blog through the link in the invitation email, but this will expire after two weeks. After that, they'll need a new invitation.

If you want to revoke someone's access to your blog, simply click the remove link next to his or her name in the Blog Readers list. You can also toggle back to the "Anybody" option any time you decide to make the blog completely public again.

placement targeting of ads

Placement targeting basically allows AdWords advertisers to choose specific ad placements where they'd like their ads to appear.
Ad placement can be an entire website or a specific sub-set of ad units within that site. For example only ad units on sports pages or all ad units at the top of the page.
Advertisers find ad placements in many ways. Sometimes by listing websites where they'd like to advertise, sometimes by searching for placements that match the themes and topics they'd like to target.

You can also choose your own ad placements using specific sub-sets of ad units on your blog or site.

What is AdSense for video?

adsense for video, a new thing for many bloggers. what it really is?
this question is frequently click your mind when you listen adsense for video.
Publishers can earn revenue with video content using relevant, non-intrusive ad placements from Google's extensive advertiser network. Video content will display both InVideo overlay and text overlay ads.
Now question is that what is Invideo overly and text video overly ads? so here is brief explanation.

InVideo overlay ads are Flash-based ads. These ads will be targeted to publishers' content based on the relevance of advertisers' campaigns to your content. Advertisers may choose to include a companion video ad which opens when a user clicks on the overlay, pausing the content and playing a video ad within the video player. InVideo ads will compete in the Google auction. publishers get revenue and will be paid on a cost-per-thousand impressions basis.

These ads are placement-targeted to your site and appear within your video streams. When placement-targeted, they are paid on a cost-per-thousand impressions basis. Text overlay ads are drawn from the campaigns of AdWords advertisers and may be contextually targeted to signals in your video and your site. When contextually targeted, text overlay ads are paid on a cost-per-click basis.

the most successful color palettes

to increase revenue colors of ads plays vital role. if the colors are fade than the background then visitors ignore your ads. google recommend different color schemes to avoid ad blindness. you can increase your revenue by making ads more visible to visitors.
three color schemes are most succesfull in increasing your revenue.
1. blend
2.complement
3.contrast
To blend, make the background and borders of your ads the same color as the background of your page where the ad is placed. If your site has a white background and you don't want to spend a lot of time choosing ad colors, we recommend using our pre-designed Open Air palette.
To complement, use colors that already exist on your site, but don't match the background and borders exactly where the ads are placed.
To contrast, choose colors that stand out against the background of your site. Contrasting is recommended only for sites with dark background, so we suggest using a palette with white background, white borders, and blue titles.

tips for Ad Placement

The most suitable place for ads is the top of the blog because visitors are focused on top areas of a page. And my second tip is that ad should be on that area which is most useful and visible to them. And ads placed below the valuable content are also make good impression on readers.
Now the problem is that some authors write long articles and mostly people dont read them throughly. So if ads should b at end then people will not see ads. In this case you should place ads on top of that web page.
And some articles are short and very informative people read them completely. If you have such a content then place ads below the poasts.
To increase your visitor's interest in your blog blend your ad units into the background of your blog. And one special thing that mostly bloggers dont notice is the colors of ads. Choose bold colors for ad title. And the background and border of your ad should also of the same color as of that area where ad is placed.
Ad formats also is really important to attract readers. Usually wider ad formats attract readers more.
